I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Theresa Ahearn, the delay in the establishment of the sanctioned resource centre in Cashel, County Tipperary; (2) Deputy Dick Roche, the permission given by the UK authorities to dump bombs, munitions and other material in a designated area between North Devon and Swansea; (3) Deputy Roger Garland, the serious situation outlined by the Stag report on the disappearance of sea trout from Connemara and south Mayo and the failure of the Minister for the Marine to respond to this report; (4) Deputy Dermot Ahern, the question of decentralisation to Dundalk; (5) Deputy Ted Nealon, the refusal of the Department of the Environment to provide full funding for the repair of defective chimneys in certain category local authority houses in Cranmore Estate, Sligo, and the unfair conditions being imposed by the Minister where full funding is provided; (6) Deputy Michael Finucane, the action the Minister for Labour intends to take to resolve the lock-out at McCormack's Joinery in Ardagh, County Limerick; (7) Deputy Jim Mitchell, the question of the severe impact on the homeless, the travelling community and the elderly of the prolonged extreme cold weather spell and the urgent steps proposed by the Government to alleviate the problem; (8) Deputy Richard Bruton, the Government's attitude to the project sponsored by the relatives of the Stardust victims to create a memorial park and complex for young people of the locality; (9) Deputy Sean Ryan, the outcome of the Department of Health's discussions with the Eastern Health Board regarding the need for a new health centre in Swords, given the conditions that exist in the present facility; (10) Deputy Eamon Gilmore, the exclusion of Dún Laoghaire Harbour from the operational programme on peripherality; (11) Deputy Proinsias De Rossa, the bombing by United States forces of an air raid shelter in Baghdad in which more than 400 civilians are reported to have been killed; the mounting civilian casualties in the war; the increasing evidence that the US led coalition is exceeding the terms of UN Security Council Resolution 678; and, in the light of these events, the need for the Government to review their earlier decision to grant overflight and landing facilities for US military aircraft and (12) Deputy Patrick J. Sheehan, the serious problem of the plans by An Post to decimate the postal services; and the downgrading of all the head post offices in the south west Cork constituency.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by the following Deputies: Deputy Roger Garland, Deputy Proinsias De Rossa, and Deputy Ted Nealon.
