Question:102 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Finance when it is intended to introduce legislation to update the role and powers of the Comptroller and Auditor General.
Written Answers. - Role of Comptroller and Auditor General.
I am examining proposals prepared by my Department concerning the modernisation of the role of the Comptroller and Auditor General and hope to put proposals before the Government in the near future. If the Government accept such proposals I intend to bring the legislation before the Oireachtas as soon as possible.
