Question:

75 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Marine if he will outline (1) the current capacity of our sea ports, (2) their current throughput and (3) their projected capacity and throughput for 1995 and the year 2000, both in accumulated terms and in terms of the following individual ports: (a) Dublin, (b) Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, (c) Rosslare, County Wexford, (d) Waterford, (e) Cork, (f) Foynes, County Limerick. (g) Limerick and (h) Drogheda, County Louth.

The detailed data requested by the Deputy would be available from the harbour authorities concerned. Total throughput of all ports for the year 1989 was 24,896,000 tonnes.
