Question:98 Mr. Power asked the Minister for the Environment if the same procedure will be used this year for distribution of national lottery funding for recreational and amenity grants as was used last year.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 96 and 98 together.
Procedures in relation to the amenityrecreational facilities grants scheme, 1991 are the same as those which applied to last year's scheme. Each county council, county borough corporation and Dún Laoghaire Corporation have been notified of the arrangements and have been asked to invite applications from project sponsors. The local authorities will be responsible for processing applications and notifying recommended projects to my Department by 12 April 1991. Grant allocations will be announced as soon as possible after that date.
