Brendan Howlin

Question:

186 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education when approval will be given to move to the next stage of development in the plan to build the extension to Wexford Town vocational school; when she expects construction work to begin on this school; the amount of money in this year's capital programme for this project; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 185 and 186 together.

I am fully aware of the accommodation situation at Wexford vocational school. My Department are presently undertaking a further review of the development.
I am not in a position to organise a meeting at present until the completion of the above review. I would be pleased to discuss the matter with the vocational education committee when the review report is available.
