Question:155 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for the Environment if he will grant aid the Clonmel branch of Earthwatch to provide bottle bank facilities in Clonmel, County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Under the recycling grants scheme operated by my Department capital purchases such as premises, equipment and transport may, subject to available resources, be approved grant assistance. Grants are not available towards operating costs. I will shortly be inviting proposals in relation to the 1991 scheme.
