Vol. 406 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Frank Crowley

Question:

49 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether a person (details supplied) in County Cork is eligible to apply for a cattle headage grant.

As this applicant did not apply for 1990 cattle and equines headage until 21 August 1990, 18 days after the extended closing date of 3 August 1990 for receipt of applications under that scheme, I regret that his application cannot be accepted.

Austin Deasy

Question:

50 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a grant to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford under the farm development scheme; and when payment of same will issue.

The grant will be paid shortly. The completion of the work in this case was certified by the local office at the end of January 1991. There has been no particular delay in the matter.
