Vol. 406 No. 7

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

199 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment if, in the event of the local authorities themselves drawing up a priority list in respect of applicants for grant aid from the proceeds of the national lottery, he will accept such a priority list in making his awards under the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The criteria which apply in relation to the allocation of grants under the amenities/recreational facilities scheme have been widely publicised, e.g., in the reply to Question No. 102 of 14 February 1991. I consider that these criteria are appropriate and I have no proposals to change them.
