Question:

73 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the outcome of the meeting of the Anglo-Irish Conference in Belfast on 9 April 1991.

The Intergovernmental Conference on 9 April discussed a wide range of issues including the forthcoming political talks, a number of security and confidence matters, recent developments in relation to extradition, prospects for closer co-operation in the health sector and the proposed amendment of fair employment legislation. The Joint Statement issued at the conclusion of the Conference has been placed in the Dáil Library.
