Question:92 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if he will outline the investment he will be making in Bus Éireann in 1991 in order to assist the company to upgrade their Cork bus service.

The public capital programme for 1991 provides for capital expenditure by CIE of £36.2 million of which, I understand, £2.8 million, has been allocated for expenditure on fleet replacement by Bus Éireann. Expenditure on the bus service in Cork, is entirely a matter of the day-to-day administration of Bus Éireann.
