Vol. 407 No. 3

Written Answers. - Erne Estuary Hydrographic Survey.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

194 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment whether an application has been received from Donegal County Council to carry out a hydrographic survey at the Erne Estuary which would form the basis of a plan for a sewage treatment plant for the town of Ballyshannon; when the application was received; and when he intends approving the application.

A proposal from Donegal County Council to carry out a hydrographic survey of the River Erne Estuary was received in my Department in November, 1990. The council have now been asked to submit contract documents for this survey and the matter will be considered further when these have been received.
