216 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education the reason for the long delay in the signing of a contract for the extension to the Patrician Academy, Mallow, County Cork; and if she will give an assurance that this project will go ahead in the near future.

The preliminary tender report is presently being examined in my Department.

Senior officials from my Department's planning and building unit are meeting the school authorities regarding this matter today.
