Question:79 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Finance the revenue or estimated revenue to the Exchequer arising from the taxation of old age contributory-retirement pensions in each year from 1985 to 1991 inclusive.

Income tax statistics do not distinguish between the amounts of tax that arise from pensions and from other sources. It is not, therefore, possible to provide the information requested by the Deputy.
