Vol. 407 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Data on Employees.

Toddy O'Sullivan

Question:

20 Mr. T. O'Sullivan asked the Taoiseach if he will arrange for the collection by his Department of regular data on the number of (a) regular part-time, (b) contract and (c) casual employees.

Information on (a) regular part-time jobs and (b) occasional or seasonal jobs — whether full-time or part-time — is collected in the series of annual labour force surveys. A considerable amount of information about persons in such employment is published in the LFS reports, including classifications by age, sex, marital status and hours worked.
