Peter Barry

Question:

101 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money owed to An Fóir Teoranta at the time of its winding up; whether any of this money has been repaid since; whether the interest due on these moneys has been paid; and with whom the responsibility lies for its collection.

The net book value of loans and investments of Fóir Teoranta at the time of its wind-up on 2 April was £12,765,541. Since then, an amount of £109,926 has been repaid up to 2 May 1991, along with £54,081 in interest.

Under the Fóir Teoranta (Dissolution) Act, 1990, the responsibility lies with the Industrial Credit Corporation plc for the collection of the outstanding loans and investments of Fóir Teoranta.
