Question:140 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Energy his views on whether the headquarters of Bord Gáis Éireann has been downgraded by the transferring of many senior executives to Dublin in recent years; and if he will ensure that the headquarters are not just headquarters in name only.
I intend to take Question Nos. 139 and 140 together.
In the matter of the location of the headquarters of Bord Gáis Éireann, I refer the Deputy to reply I gave to a similar question on January 30 last.
The post of chief executive of BGE was first advertised in January last. The board hope to make an appointment soon. The position will be Cork-based as specified in the advertisements.
