149 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Social Welfare (a) the employments and (b) the approximate number of employees in such employment covered by the following social insurance classes, (1) B, (2) C, (3) D, (4) G, (5) H and (6) L.
150 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Social Welfare (a) the number of employees covered by social insurance and (b) the number of employees covered by each class of social insurance in each of the years 1980 to 1990 inclusive.

147 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total amount contributed by (a) employers and (b) employees to the social insurance fund for each of the years from 1980 to 1990 and the estimated figure for 1991 broken down by each social insurance class.
The total amounts contributed by (a) employers and (b) employees for the years 1980 to 1990 and the estimated figures for 1991 are below. The Occupational Injuries Fund and the Redundancy and Employers Insolvency Fund were amalgamated with the Social Insurance Fund on 1 May 1990, but employer contributions to these funds for all years have been included for ease of comparison.

The following tables give social insurance expenditure broken down by category of payment in the years 1980 to 1990 and the estimated figures for 1991. The Occupational Injuries Fund and the Redundancy and Employers Insolvency Fund were amalgamated with the Social Insurance Fund on 1 May 1990, but expenditure under these funds for all years has been included in the tables, for ease of comparison.
