Paul McGrath

Question:

87 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of (a) special beef premia and (b) suckler cow grants unpaid as at 30 April 1991 in County Westmeath.

The number of EC suckler cow grants and EC special beef premium grants unpaid as at 30 April 1991 in County Westmeath was 133 and 451, respectively. Of these 66 suckler cow and 73 beef premium cases have since been paid and more will be paid shortly.

Michael Creed

Question:

89 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a special beef premium and suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This applicant has been requested to submit documentation in connection with seven animals missing from his herd at inspection under the 1990 special beef premium scheme and when he does so his eligibility for grants under that scheme will be considered further.

He has been deemed ineligible for grants under the suckler cow scheme for small scale milk producers as his application form was received after the closing date for the receipt of applications.
