Vol. 408 No. 5

Written Answers. - Duty Free Sales.

Ivor Callely

Question:

48 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Finance the progress which has been made with the EC Council of Finance Ministers in relation to the proposal to abolish duty free sales; and if he has considered the implications which such a move would have on Irish transport fees.

I refer the Deputy to the reply given to him by my colleague, the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications, on 8 May 1991 which fully reflects the up-to-date position in this matter.
