167 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the total allocation by her Department under the capital grants scheme for 1990; the projects in County Westmeath which benefited under this scheme in 1990; and the amount allocated to each of these projects.
As the Deputy will be aware responsibility for the capital grants scheme has been transferred to the Department of the Environment. However, my Department is still responsible for applications made under the 1988 scheme and £1.625 million was paid in 1990. Payments made to projects during 1990 under the original scheme to County Westmeath are as follows:
