Vol. 408 No. 9

Written Answers. - School Transport.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

86 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Education whether school-bus drivers, who are aware of the fact that children have term tickets for transport, are entitled to put the children off the bus on the odd occasion when they forget their tickets with specific reference to rural areas where children are well known to the drivers as much inconvenience is caused by these actions; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I would expect that situations outlined by the Deputy would be very rare. However if the Deputy has a particular case in mind, I would be pleased to have the circumstances investigated.
