Question:36 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Education if she will include in the proposed education Bill the provision of a political science course to be included in the senior cycle syllabus.
Written Answers. - Senior Cycle Syllabus.
The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment are in the process of designing a broad curricular framework for the senior cycle as a first stage in reforming that programme.
The revision of syllabuses at senior cycle and recommendations in regard to the provision of new subjects at that level will be considered by the council over the next few years. I have indicated to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment my interest in the provision of such a subject.
