55 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the timescale as to when his Department will allocate finance to Kilkenny County Council for the extension to the Ring Road to the Hebron Park Industrial Estate in Kilkenny city; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The proposed extension of the Kilkenny Ring Road, from the Carlow Road to Hebron Road, is the subject of discussions between my Department and Kilkenny County Council. The financing of this scheme will be considered when the next operational programme for roads is being prepared for the period after 1993.
