Question:73 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Finance if a decision has been taken to carry out drainage works on the Killery River on the Leitrim-Sligo border in the Bonet River catchment area.

No final decision has been made on carrying out works on the Killery River in the Bonet River catchment area. However, in order to be in a position to commence works rapidly, should a decision to proceed be made, applications were invited recently from experienced contractors who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which tenders may be invited.
