Vol. 410 No. 2

Written Answers. - Farm Income.

Tony Gregory

Question:

75 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline (1) the average farm income per quintile for each year since 1988 and (2) the overall average farm income for each year since 1988.

The national average family farm income figure is provided by the annual Teagasc national farm survey, the most recent of which relates to 1989. The following table sets out the average family farm income by farm income quintile for the years 1988 and 1989 and the overall average farm income for these years. The preliminary estimate for overall family farm income per farm for 1990 is £6,580.
