Question:47 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will consider classifying land under the disadvantaged areas scheme on a farm rather than a townland basis as at present.

As the EC Regulations governing classification of land as disadvantaged allow classification of homogeneous areas only, I am precluded from considering classification of areas on a farm basis and have no choice but to continue classification on a district electoral division or townland basis only.
