Question:34 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has any plans to establish a plant to recycle the vast quantity of used paper which is at present surplus to requirements.
Written Answers. - Paper Recycling Plant.
The IDA have day to day responsibility for the promotion of industrial projects such as the establishment of a paper recycling plant. I have no direct function in the matter.
I am advised that the IDA, together with the Smurfit Group, have recently established a working group to examine ways of economically handling the increased volume of used paper which is at present surplus to requirements.
