Question:133 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 had his medical card withdrawn; and if the position will now be reviewed.

The question of determining eligibility for a medical card is a matter solely for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board.
Accordingly, in this instance I have referred the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board with the request that he examine the matter urgently and reply directly to the Deputy.
