Vol. 410 No. 7

Written Answers. - Transplant Operation.

Michael Joe Cosgrave

Question:

137 Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for Health if he will ensure that arrangements are put in place to have a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13 whose son is awaiting a heart/lung transplant in England, contacted immediately a donor organ becomes available.

This is a matter for the Eastern Health Board in the first instance.

The family should contact the health board directly with a view to ensuring that satisfactory arrangements for notification of the family are in place, should a donor organ become available.
