Vol. 410 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Dublin School Grant Payment.

Seán Ryan

Question:

154 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Education if she will make a statement on the outstanding grant due to the board of management of Mary Queen of Ireland national school, Toberburr, St. Margaret's, County Dublin; and, given that this is a liability on the parish, if she will arrange for payment of the outstanding amount.

A capitation grant is paid to national schools annually in two parts, 70 per cent in January and the balance in June/July.

The first moiety of the capitation grants was paid to the management of Mary Queen of Ireland national school in January 1991.

The remainder of the grant will be paid to the school when the confirmation of the lodgement of the local contribution is received in my Department.
