Vol. 411 No. 1

Written Answers. - Old Age Pension Claim.

Madeleine Taylor-Quinn

Question:

318 Mrs. Taylor-Quinn asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has reached a decision on the old age pension claim of a person (details supplied) in County Clare.

A claim by the person concerned for old age non-contributory pension was disallowed on the basis that his means exceeded the statutory limit for award of pension. He appealed against the decision to the independent social welfare appeals office and his appeal is currently under investigation. As soon as these investigations are complete a decision will be made on his appeal.
