Question:

451 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give an up-to-date report on (a) the completion, (b) the allocation and (c) the occupation of the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin.

I understand from the custom house docks development authority that the position on the north, south and west blocks of the international financial services centre and on the buildings known as Harbourmaster Place 1 and 2 is as follows:

West Block — Fitted out, sold to and occupied by Allied Irish Banks.

North Block — Fitting out nearing completion; sold to Bank of Ireland; will be occupied partially by Bank of Ireland; negotiations currently taking place with various international financial services companies to take remaining space.

South Block — Fitting out in progress; sold to IFSC South Block Ltd.; Ulster Investment Bank have taken space; negotiations are currently taking place with various international financial services companies to take lettings.

Harbourmaster Place 1 — Fitted out; leased to and occupied partially by Messrs. Arthur Anderson & Co. Chartered Accountants; space will be sub-let to a number of international financial services tenants.

Harbourmaster Place 2 — Fitted out; leased to and occupied partially by Messrs. McCann Fitzgerald, Solicitors; space will be sub-let to a number of international financial services tenants.
