Question:497 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Health when he intends to introduce increments for temporary and part-time nurses; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Nurses' Salaries.
My Department has recently concluded negotiations on the introduction of incremental credit for temporary nurses. Subject to formal acceptance by the nursing unions, it is intended that incremental credit will apply from 1 January 1992 on the basis agreed in negotiations. The position in relation to part-time workers, including nurses, is the subject of ongoing discussion with staff representatives.
