Question:521 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Health when funding will be provided for the provision of a new county clinic in Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 520 and 521 together. The South-Eastern Health Board have indicated to my Department that the provision of major new community care headquarters in Waterford and Kilkenny is high on their list of priority health centre developments.
The extent to which progress can be made in the provision of these facilities will be determined by the availability of resources and the other competing priorities.
