161 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will list (a) those countries-states which have an embassy in this State and (b) those countries-states in which there is an Irish Embassy abroad.
The countries in which Ireland maintains a resident embassy are listed in Annex 1. The countries which maintain embassies in Ireland are listed in Annex 2.
Ireland also maintains resident missions to the European Communities in Brussels and to the United Nations in New York and Geneva.

162 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs whether it is intended to enter into arrangements with any other states for the opening of an embassy in this State or for an Irish Embassy to be opened abroad during the course of the next 12 months.
Ireland's network of diplomatic relations with other States is kept under constant review in the light of our national and international interests and the availability of resources. It is not possible to indicate at present if developments over the next 12 months will lead to the opening of a foreign embassy in this State or an Irish Embassy abroad.
