Vol. 411 No. 7

Written Answers. - Sale of County Wexford Garda House.

Brendan Howlin

Question:

152 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Justice whether the former Garda house in Taghmon, County Wexford has been sold; if so, to whom; if it is still in public ownership; if he will consider giving or selling the house to Taghmon Community Development Committee for community purposes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The former Garda house at Taghmon is being sold by the Office of Public Works to the garda occupying it. The sale is part of a general programme which was introduced by the Government in order to reduce expenditure on maintenance and to raise revenue.
