Question:87 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Justice if he will investigate the possibility of retaining a Garda presence in a village (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the manpower allocation in the place in question is one Sergeant and five gardaí and that there are no plans to reduce the manning levels or police presence in the area.
