Vol. 412 No. 1

Written Answers. - Retention of Teacher.

Tony Gregory

Question:

151 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education whether, arising out of her reply to Parliamentary Question No. 232 on 2 July 1991, any application has since been received from St. Vincent's boys national school, as recommended in her reply.

The present staff in the school is principal, four assistants, a full time remedial teacher plus the disadvantaged concession and one visiting teacher and is based on an enrolment of 142 as at 30 September 1990.

However, as the enrolments had declined to 116 pupils on 30 September 1991, the school is within the guidelines on maximum class sizes.
