Question:131 Mr. Belton asked the Minister for Health the current position on the application for extra funding to staff the new extension at St. Christopher's in Longford.
Written Answers. - Longford Hostel Funding.
I assume the Deputy is referring to the house purchased by the County Longford association for use as a hostel for people with a mental handicap.
The funding of the association is primarily a matter for the Midland Health Board. The allocation of additional funds in 1992 will be considered as sympathetically as possible in the light of the resources available and the competing priorities.
