Vol. 412 No. 2

Written Answers. - Placements of Handicapped Children.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

110 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the situation regarding two children (details supplied) in County Monaghan being sent to different schools; if she accepts that it is unfair to separate these two mildly handicapped children; and if she will agree to both attending the same school.

I am aware of the situation referred to by the Deputy.

This matter is under active investigation by my Department's inspectorate and I will advise the Deputy of the outcome as soon as possible.
