Question:107 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance the amount paid in corporation tax for each of the past 5 years; if he intends to increase the levy in this area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The information the Deputy requires regarding the yield from corporation tax, for the five year period from 1986-90, is contained in the Statistical Report of the Revenue Commissioners 1990, a copy of which is available in the Dáil Library.
The question of the yield from corporation tax is for consideration in the context of the budget, and in the circumstances, I do not propose to comment further on the matter.
