Godfrey Timmins

25 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if it was brought to his attention by the Irish Sugar Company that they were replacing Goodbody Stockbrokers with NCB shortly before the privatisation of the company; and if so, the reason for the change that was given.

Michael Noonan

Question:

52 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he had an input either directly or indirectly in the appointment of NCB as consultants to the Irish Sugar Company prior to the privatisation of that Company; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I intend to take Questions Nos. 25 and 52 together.

I had no involvement in the appointment of NCB as consultants to Irish Sugar Company prior to the privatisation of that company.

The question of the appointment of NCB in place of Goodbody Stockbrokers was not brought to my attention by Siucre Éireann.
