Vol. 412 No. 6

Written Answers. - Pollution Grant.

Michael Finucane

Question:

107 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will consider the payment of pollution grants to farmers who have an off-farm income as they are currently debarred from such payments; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Under the EC financed scheme for the Control of Farmyard Pollution part-time farmers whose income from outside farming does not exceed £10,400 per year are eligible for grant aid. The income limit is increased annually to keep it in line with the average industrial wage.
