Question:116 Mrs. Taylor-Quinn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department intend to disinfect the premises of a person (details supplied) in County Clare.
Written Answers. - County Clare Premises Disinfection.
I am informed by the Director of ERAD that where there is evidence of definite transmission of infection, as in this case, the premises in question must be disinfected by the farm relief service. I understand that the herdowner in question has refused to allow his premises to be disinfected by the farm relief service. ERAD does not carry out disinfection and does not propose to do so in this case.
