Question:167 Mr. Belton asked the Minister for Education if the school bus service to Mostrim Girls' national school in County Longford could be restored in order to pick up three children (details supplied) in County Longford.

The service referred to in the Deputy's question was withdrawn at the end of the summer school term 1991 as the number of eligible children offering for transport was below the minimum number of ten required to maintain the service. This position has not changed.
My Department would be prepared to offer a grant to this family towards the cost of private transport arrangements.
