Ivan Yates

Question:

80 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will have his installation aid grant approved and paid; and, if so, when.

It is hoped to have this application determined shortly. If the applicant is found to be eligible payment will be made as soon as possible.

Ivan Yates

Question:

81 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason special beef premium payments were not made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford on his net number of eligible cattle; and, if his disqualification will be reconsidered in view of his bona fides in this matter.

This applicant listed on his 1991 special beef premium scheme application two animals which had received premium already. Since special beef premium may be claimed only once in the lifetime of each animal, the person named was deemed to have made a false declaration on his application and could not be paid any special beef premium for 1991.

In addition, he will not be eligible to apply again for special beef premium for 12 months from 25 September 1991.

Michael Finucane

Question:

82 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a special beef premium was refused to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick and if, in view of the financial hardship imposed on this person, he will reconsider this application.

This applicant listed on his 1991 special beef premium scheme application one animal which had received premium already. Since special beef premium may be claimed only once in the lifetime of each animal, the person named was deemed to have made a false declaration on his application and cannot be paid any special beef premium for 1991.

In addition, he will not be eligible to apply again for special beef premium for 12 months from 24 October 1991.

P. J. Sheehan

Question:

83 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a farm development grant.

Having regard to the level of claims currently on hands and the budgetary allocation, it is likely to be about two months before payment can be made.
