Vol. 413 No. 5

Written Answers. - Cork City Garda Stations.

Pearse Wyse

Question:

41 Mr. Wyse asked the Minister for Justice if he will give an assurance that, with the advent of the opening of a new modern Garda headquarters in Cork city, no Garda station will be closed in the south side of Cork city when the new station becomes fully operational.

The new Garda station at Anglesea Street, Cork, will replace the existing divisional headquarters at Union Quay. There are no plans to reduce the number of stations in Cork city when the new station becomes operational.
