Vol. 413 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin Pollution Levels Study.

Seán Ryan

Question:

38 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has any intention of commissioning a study into pollution levels in Dublin, particularly lead levels in the air, as a result of traffic; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have no such proposal. Monitoring of air quality and the nature, extent and effects of emissions is, under the Air Pollution Act, 1987, the responsibility of the local authority concerned.
