47 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment if he will grant an amnesty to people who, through no fault of their own, have been precluded from receiving new house grants due to builders going into liquidation; and if he will advance the date for the necessity of a C2 to 1 April 1991.

I have no proposals to change the requirements that a contractor building a new house, for which a grant is sought, must hold a C2 certificate or a tax clearance certificate from the Revenue Commissioners.
