Question:115 Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for the Environment the number of members of the travelling community residing in County Limerick on (1) official halting sites and (2) unofficial halting sites.

My Department have recently requested local authorities to undertake the annual count of travellers on 28 November next and to submit the results to the Department not later than 13 December 1991. In November 1990, there were 18 families on official halting sites and 101 families on the roadside in County Limerick.
